Job Hunters: Who's Hiring in Tinley Park and Oak Forest? (Aug. 21)

The Tinley Park-Park District has two part-time openings, and Marquette Bank is looking for a few good loan officers.

Finding a job can be a tough task. Putting together a résumé, hitting the streets looking for “Help Wanted” signs and making the best impression on potential employers can be a tall order for anyone. Luckily, Patch wants to help Tinley Park and Oak Forest readers find a few jobs and put some cash in your pockets.

That's why each week, Patch will be spotlighting a few job openings that we think our readers can fill.

New Openings


WANTED: Ride attendants, cashiers and other positions
Odyssey Fun World (Tinley Park): The entertainment and amusement center has multiple openings for ride attendants and other spots for high school students. Interested candidates should apply in person at Odyssey, 19111 Oak Park Ave.

WANTED: Part-time laborer
Tinley Park-Park District: The district has an opening for someone to do general maintenance, such as snow removal and athletic field care. The job involves 10 to 25 hours in the winter and about 30 hours in the summer. That includes required weekend work from 7 a .m. to noon. The pay is $8.50 an hour. Candidates should turn in completed applications to Kevin Higgins, district park foreman, at the district offices at the Tony Bettenhausen Recreation Center, 8125 W. 171st St. Or candidates can email it to kevin.higgins@tinleyparkdistrict.org.

WANTED: Part-time service team attendant
Tinley Park-Park District: The district needs someone to be a receptionist and greeter at the Tony Bettenhausen Recreation Center, as well as perform other duties as part of its Front Counter Service Team. Candidates need experience using a variety of computer programs and requires working 10 to 15 hours a week at night and on weekends. The job pays $9 an hour. Candidates should turn in applications to Sandy Ardolino, district administrative assistant, at the district offices at the Tony Bettenhausen Recreation Center, 8125 W. 171st St., or by email at sandy.ardolino@tinleyparkdistrict.org. The deadline for applications is Aug. 30.

WANTED: Loan officer
Marquette Bank (Oak Forest): The financial institution has multiple openings for loan officers. Candidates must have extensive knowledge of a variety of lending products and conventional lending outlets, and must have a documented residential mortgage loan volume in the past year of $12 million.
