Job Hunters: Who's Hiring in Tinley Park and Oak Forest? (July 24)

A local publisher needs an associate computer programmer, and a nearby horse stable is in the market for an office worker and riders to lead livery tours. Plus, listings for sales and light industrial work.

Finding a job can be a tough task. Putting together a résumé, hitting the streets looking for “Help Wanted” signs and making the best impression on potential employers can be a tall order for anyone. WANTED: Machinist and warehouse worker
Aerotek (Oak Forest and Tinley Park): The light industrial company has openings for a machinist in Oak Forest and a warehouse worker in Tinley Park. For the machinist position, candidates must be qualified using a variety of equipment, such as a hand mill, hand lathe, drill press, band saw and other tools; able to interpret drawings for machining components; and work with a materials, such as brass and plastic. Duties for the warehouse position include packaging, stacking pallets and other duties. Candidates must know how to operate an air compressor and other equipment. Sarah's Stables (Willow Springs): This equestrian business needs help in its busy office, answering phones and setting appointments. Multitasking is a must. Xylem (Tinley Park): The global water technology provider needs a manager to help grow the sales for the company's Grindex dewatering pumps. Qualified candidates must have a bachelor's degree in engineering or other field, as well as related experience and technical background and at least three years of sales experience.
