Job Hunters: Who's Hiring in Tinley Park and Oak Forest? (June 26)
Want to join the management set? The Tinley Park Speedway offers two positions to get you started. Plus, openings at an Oak Forest insurance agency and an area publisher.
Finding a job can be a tough task. Putting together a résumé, hitting the streets looking for “Help Wanted” signs and making the best impression on potential employers can be a tall order for anyone. WANTED: Editorial assistantGoodheart-Wilcox (Tinley Park): The publisher needs someone to assist its editorial team for print and digital career and technical education textbook and supplemental products. Candidates must have at least an associate degree (bachelor's degree preferred), with majors in English, publishing studies or journalism preferred. Previous editorial experience and an interest, background and/or aptitude in a technical area, such as automotive, construction, drafting, electronics, machining or welding are pluses. WANTED: Retail store manager trainee and assistant store manager
Speedway (Tinley Park): The gas station and convenience store chain is looking to fill two management positions in Tinley Park. The manager trainee will work with a successful store manager after a period of training, while the assistant store manager will gain management experience at the store. Candidates for both positions should have or be able to obtain and keep a driver's license, have a high school diploma. Prior management experience is preferred for the trainee position.
