Nominate: Best Funeral Home in the Area

Let us know the best funeral homes in Homewood, Flossmoor and the surrounding area so we can put it to a vote and find out which is the Readers’ Choice 2012 winner.

What funeral home do you trust most in the Homewood-Flossmoor area?

Patch is ramping up its Readers’ Choice program and we’re asking you, your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers and anyone else who knows about the local funeral homes to nominate the best ones in your town.

We’ll keep accepting nominations through July 9. After that, nominations will be closed and we’ll start the voting, so make sure to get in your favorites now.

All you need to do to nominate a business is to add it in the comments below. If you already see the business you want to nominate, make sure to add your comment about why it should be included, because we may not be able to add all businesses to our poll and we want to make sure the top ones make it into the poll.

Here are a few examples, but they MUST BE NOMINATED to be included in the poll! As places are nominated, they'll be added to a list and bolded.

Thanks in advance for your participation.

Sign up for the Homewood-Flossmoor Patch newsletter to find out when voting starts so you can support your favorite institution in the Readers' Choice contest.

My nomination is for Ryan Funeral Home. It's within walking distance of a church and the library (in case you need a break) and is about to be pretty much across the street from wine tasting and really good scotch.

You can also just cross the parking lot to the back door of The Tin Ceiling! Had more funerals than I care to remember at Ryan, and that always came in handy!

I've been to both (Tewes and Ryan) and I think they both offer very nice services. I'm a big fan of cremation and low-cost to no- cost memorials. Now back to my preparation for the zombie apocalypse...
