Nominate: Which Vet Do You Trust with Your Furry Friends?

Don't miss the opportunity to nominate who you feel is the BEST veterinarian in your community or a surrounding town. Your preferred vet or clinic will face off against others from the area for the title of the most-loved veterinarian in the Southland.

Thanks for participating in Patch's Readers' Choice! Our nomination period is now over. Check back July 23, when live voting for your favorites begins!

When it comes to your pets, you're not about to trust just anyone with their care.

The relationship between Fido and his doc is a tricky one, and once you find the right fit, you're loyal clients. Pet parents never know when an emergency might arise, and it's nice to know where to turn.

That's why we, at Patch, look to YOU.

So we want to know—Who's your preferred veterinarian in the Southland? There's no doubt that we have a repertoire of veterinary care options in Orland Park, , Oak ForestPalosChicago HeightsHomewood-FlossmoorEvergreen ParkOak LawnFrankfortNew Lenox and Mokena.

Nominate your favorite veterinarian by telling us in the comments. Here are a few suggestions; however, they STILL NEED TO BE NOMINATED to be included in the poll! As more docs and clinics are nominated, they'll be added to the list and bolded.

  •  in New Lenox
  •  in Orland Park

We will accept nominations through July 9.

I would have to disagree here on this vet, especially Dr. Ingmire. A few years back we brought our puppy jack russel in for a check up. Dr. Ingmire took an x-ray and said the puppy had gas, gave him a shot and sent us home with a prescription (which we later learned it can have a horrible and toxic effect on animals and cause neurological problems). Well 2 days later our puppy was over hyper, eyes bugged out of his head and running all over so we took him in,Dr. Ball was the one to examine him and he basically said it was the medicine peaking and not to give it to him anymore and let it go. Well a couple hours later, our puppy just died. When we called to speak with Dr. Ingmire,he wouldn't take our calls or return them! They just blew us off like it didn't matter. When we did some more investigating,Dr. Ball hadn't renewed his license and it was expired! Our poor puppy died a horrible, and scarey death and they did nothing about it or even took any of the blame. I go to Sackman animal hospital now and she is amazing and caring!
