Readers' Choice: Who Grills Tinley's Tastiest Steak?

Whether you like it bloody rare or well done, a mouthwatering steak at a relaxing restaurant can be a delicious treat. Vote for the restaurant that serves your favorite cut of prime meat and tell us why you love it.

For most of you, the Lenten season is officially over for a while.

What better way to celebrate than a nice cut of meat? There's something intensely satisfying about slicing in and devouring a perfectly prepared steak.

(Unless you're a vegetarian; then the whole affair is probably a bit unappetizing.)

At Patch, we want readers to tell us what restaurant serves their favorite cut of beef. We've rounded up nominations from Facebook, Twitter and the site. Now it's YOUR chance to vote for in our high "steaks" poll. Don't forget to share with readers why you voted the way you did in the comments section.

The winner of Tinley's tastiest steak will face off against Orland Park's winner in a neighborly . Voting and commenting ends April 21.

The reigning champion will get a fancy shmancy framed certificate to show off to its customers. What's not to love?

While you're voting, give a shoutout to the bar or restaurant that in our Patch business directory. Think of your recommendation as a public service, telling residents the best places to go in .

Here's a list of nominated steak-serving eateries:

We like Luby's for steak, great menu and friendly staff.

Thanks Stephen. I went there when I first moved to Tinley. You're right. Everyone was super friendly. I believe I got a salad though. I'll definitely have to try the steak.

Tin Fish is the best steak and seafood around, its worth every penny.

Carrie wish we had more to add, but of those on the list, we've only eaten at 2, Texas Roadhouse and Luby's. TRH was at least 4 years ago and we only went to Luby's to use a Groupon we had. And that meal was a disaster. One steak ordered medium was extremely rare and the prime rib med that was ordered medium rare was overcooked and the wrong size portion. By the time they brought Bob's steak back to the table, my dinner was cold. We were told we had a new waitress, but that was about the only concern anyone showed, if even that. I swear it was because I had our groupon on the table, they didn't care if we came back.

Hi Deb! :) Interesting you say that, I recently had a similar experience while using a Groupon (not at Luby's but I'll keep to myself where in Tinley it was). I concluded that because of the Groupon offer, this particular restaurant was slammed and therefore unable to cater to diners the way staff usually may. Not that it's any excuse, but ... I plan to give it another whirl at some point. I've eaten at Luby's but I've never tried the steak.

Not in Tinley, but just down the street is the Bier Stub...they have unbelievable steaks. You'll never wait in line at the roadhouse again. Luby's is awesome as well. I've never had a bad meal there. I am usually their for lunch so have never had a steak, but I think I may have to try one out next time.

believe it or not, the rib eye steak at cracker barrel is one of the best ive had. 12 oz. cooked to perfection every time. and cheap too! i kid you not.

Carrie, we just had the impression that since we were using a Groupon and basically eating for half price, they didn't care what kind of service we got. Funy thing is, the food wasn't half bad for as screwed up as our order was. And we just bought an Amazon for Luby's............but that is staying in my purse until it's time to pay!! I want to see if it make a difference on how we're treated
