Our business was established in July of 1997 and we still reside at our original location of 17260 Oak Park Avenue in Tinley Park. The business came to be through my father's dream to open a small Italian restaurant and truly live out the American dream. He came to the U.S. with very little and, through hard work and the support of his family and the community, he made Village Pizza into the successful business it is today.

Our business is best known for our authentic, thin crust pizza made with the freshest ingredients and cooked in our antique pizza oven. We also feature oven baked Italian beef sandwiches and baked pastas.

What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?

Something that most customers don't know is that our entire process from ingredients to pizza has remained mostly unchanged over the past 36 years. Probably the biggest change was when we purchased a dough mixer so Mama Carmela would no longer have to knead the dough by hand!

Why did you choose the town you did to open your business?

We first became familiar with the area when it was mentioned to us by family members when we expressed interest in moving to a new area. Through visits to the area, we learned how beautiful of a neighborhood and welcoming of a community Tinley Park was. We decided to move our family and start our business to Tinley Park and do not regret that decision to this day.
