District 146 Artwork Shines at Tinley Park Library

School District 146 student artwork was on display at the Tinley Park Public Library for the month of April.  The talented, young artists in grades 1-8 were chosen from entries submitted to the District schools.  District art teachers had the difficult choice of choosing those that would participate from all entries submitted.  Twelve art pieces in the form of 2-D drawings, paintings and collages were chosen.

Central Middle School art teacher Mrs. Cindy DePinto–Dawud said, “This is an annual event for our District.  We are grateful to the library for giving our budding artists a chance to display their creative minds.  It’s a big honor.”  Mr. Dan McLaughlin, art teacher at Fulton Schools said, “This year’s theme was “Spring into Summer”.  We had over 100 entries, and each one was different and creative.  The high level of quality of our submissions made choosing only 12 pieces for the display a difficult task.  We are so proud of our students.  They all did an exceptional job on their submissions.”

The students who had their artwork chosen for the display were:  Anna Grabowski, Emily Fleischhauer, Maya, Gonzales, Amber Schwider, Gianna Perna, Janeessa Rona, Antonio Perna, Batol Bsharat, Rylee Youpel, Gabrielle Rona, Margaret McCullough, and Mary Kate Sherman.
