On Friday, May 2, the Illinois Principal Association held their Recognition Breakfast at the Odyssey Country Club. The breakfast honors outstanding students from the south suburban area. D146 Principals and chosen students from each building attend this annual event together along with their families. The four elementary buildings each choose two 5th graders, while Central Middle School chooses two 8th graders.
Mr. Mark French, Principal at Fierke Education Center said, “I know that the principals all look forward to this special morning. We choose two students based on high academics, their exemplary character and how well-rounded the students are within their schools. It’s never an easy task to choose, because we all have such amazing students at our buildings. But for those chosen it is most certainly an honor.”
