Did Hooker Bust Put TEACON Organizer into Hiding?

Tea Party Convention organizer Steve Stevlic was absent from the second day of the conference following a report in Gawker that he was arrested for soliciting a prostitute.

Chicago Tea Party Patriots Director Steve Stevlic was absent from TEACON 2011 following a report on Gawker that he was arrested June 25, 2010, for soliciting prostitutes.

"He was here last night; he is not here today," said Marcus Brown, program director for WIND 560 AM, one of the organizers of the event.

When asked about the Gawker report, Brown said the issue was an an internal Tea Party matter. He said Stevlic addressed the Chicago Tea Party group at a meeting last night.

Patch has sent Stevlic an email seeking comment. Readers may visit Palatine Patch, which is covering the Tea Party convention, for any updates.

Stevlic was one of the main organizers of TEACON 2011, the Tea Party's Midwest convention.

If this paper was not owned by the Huffington Post, this article would not even be here. Arianna is extreme left.

Anything to demean the Tea Party.
Azetbur October 2, 2011 at 01:19 pm
No one has to demean them. They are doing a good job doing that themselves.
Jack Steen October 2, 2011 at 01:29 pm
Yeah - the people with educations really are unfair to the TeaKluxers !
Baba Wawa October 2, 2011 at 01:53 pm
They do that on their own.
nick October 2, 2011 at 05:19 pm
Maybe Mr Stevlic should have found himself a girlfriend instead of a hooker. Thats what Bill Clinton, Je$$ie Jack$on Sr and Jessie Jackson Jr may have advised.
Baba Wawa October 2, 2011 at 06:10 pm
Maybe he should have had his arrest record expunged. Ya think?
Russ October 2, 2011 at 06:15 pm
Oh I see, breaking the law is acceptable

They can try to demean, but it won't work. People like Jack Steen have no substance to their arguments. Just nasty accusations. Demonization replaces ideas. Every comment will have a slur of some kind. Then usually a charge of racism. Very predictable.

If the TPers want media coverage, and they surely do, then they have to take the good with the bad. Attention seekers end up being closely scrutinized.

Turns out it was a minor crash, according to state police. No one was injured enough to require aRead More trip in an ambulance. Two cars were involved in the collision, which happened at about 2 p.m.
Local Citizen June 18, 2013 at 02:01 pm
I'd also contact whichever bank has this in foreclosure. If they're the legal owners, then they'reRead More responsible. Maybe the threat of a lawsuit if someone gets sick or injured might prompt them to take action.
Concerned Citizen June 18, 2013 at 02:31 pm
The problem is that nobody knows or can locate the bank who owns this property. I have contacted aRead More friend of mine whom is a realtor and there saying it's owned by HUD! Well good luck getting in touch with them!
Concerned Citizen June 18, 2013 at 05:47 pm

We too live in Parkside and I couldn't agree with you more! I love your sign! I have a three yearRead More old and I refuse to let him play on the last 15 feet of the driveway due to the speeding cars. Maybe a speed bump?!
dalygirl June 16, 2013 at 09:25 am
We've looked into a speed bump too. Make yourself a sign, call the Tinley Police and ask for theRead More electronic monitoring sign, call the village and complain, and be pro-active. Someone from the village saw my sign and has informed me that the village will be putting up speed limit signs and caution - kids playing signs this week. Good luck!!
