Who Has the Best Blooms? Tell Us the Florist You Trust for Your Stems

Patch has the most comprehensive directory of florists in town. Who will you turn to for a bouquet the next time your in the dog house? Where do you go for special occasions?

A favorite florist can be hard to find. Arrangements can be costly, and if the flowers wilt quickly or the delivery misses the mark, it might not seem worth the money.

Until the recipient takes a nice, big sniff and smiles, that is.

Patch wants to know which place you turn to for the best bouquets around. Who puts in the painstaking work of getting your blooms just right—their favorite flowers, the perfect size, the brightest colors?

Nominate the local florist you think should be included in our local Readers' Choice contest.

While you're at it, give a shoutout to your chosen florist in our Patch business directory. Think of your recommendation as a public service, telling residents the best places to go in Tinley Park.

Nominate your choice in the comments section below. Here are a few suggestions; however, they STILL MUST BE NOMINATED to be included in the poll! As florists are suggested, they'll be added to the list and bolded.

We will accept nominations through July 9.

Where do you pick up the prettiest stems? Tell us in the comments!

My vote goes to Classy Flowers. This is a 5 Star florist. Their flowers last longer than any other florist and the service is top shelf. You always get the best attention from the sweet couple that own the shop. Their roses are exquisite!

Classy Flowers of Tinley Park all the way. I have never seen such beautiful displays and flowers as these. I know a lot of people who use them and only them. Great flowers, service, experience and great personalities, go together well. I've never been happier with a florist,

Heather's Haus is by far the best florist in Tinley Park! I go to Penny for everything. When I went to prom, my bouquet was absolutely GORGEOUS! She also did amazing work on the flowers for my mom's wedding and then made beautiful agargements when my grandmother passed away in Novemeber of Cancer. Hands down I will ALWAYS refer my family and friends to Heather's Haus :)

Classy Flowers is BY FAR the best!! The "other" florist goes wild with a paint can. Who wants painted flowers? CLASSY FLOWERS truly lives up to their name. I DO want "classy flowers". I want to see and smell the beauty of natural flowers, not an odd color & stench of paint.
Sher July 06, 2012 at 06:21 PM
It's an obvious choice for Classy Flowers. It is so important to find a florist that understands your wants and needs and keep up with the latest styles and trends. Jo Ann and Dennis do a wonderful job & I couldn't ask for a better florist when I need flowers in the Tinley Park area and would not trust any other florist to acheive the high quality and style that I have come to trust and expect.
Eliza July 06, 2012 at 06:26 PM
My vote is for Classy Flowers. As an artist, you know true art when you see it. I've seen work from other florists and Classy Flowers has always has a better quality and style and you can tell that they put their heart & soul into their creations as would any artist that has a love and passion for their work.

Classy Flowers!
Local Citizen July 10, 2012 at 01:35 AM
My "painted" flowers I got at the Farmers Market lasted 3 weeks and smelled fabulous. Sorry, but I was sent flowers from Classy once and the vase was filled with some nasty gel junk and I couldn't even add water to it. They died in 3 days. I'll stick the Heather's Haus. Better flowers, better service, better prices and they are always over the top generous in supporting more charities than you can count. And they're flat out just nicer to deal with.

I live on the opposite side of town and happened to have gone past HEATHERS HAUS FLORIST around mothers day. I saw tents outside so i pulled into the lot.Upon approaching i saw people opening the flower boxes to get them"processed" as i was told when i asked what they were doing.I stood there AMAZED at the amount of product and the amount of STUNNING arrangements i saw being lined up outside waiting to be loaded into their vans!! I was greeted by friendly people right down to the delivery people i chatted with. I went inside and even though i had to wait in line with OBVIOUS OTHER PEOPLE WHO CHOOSE HEATHERS HAUS,i was BEYOND PLEASED with the customer service and the whole atmosphere inside HEATHERS HAUS! What I received(as well as watching OTHERS choose their arrangements) was the most SPECTACULAR,ORIGINAL,and LONGEST LASTING FLOWERS I have EVER bought!QUALITY PRODUCT,AWESOME STAFF,and GREAT PRICES! HEATHERS HAUS FLORIST has a new customer for life! Also have sent many friends in there who are JUST as satisfied...I hope they vote for HEATHERS HAUS! Not to be mean but I went into the "other" florist to be fair before I did this and there is NO CONTEST here,HEATHERS HAUS is the "BEST OF"...

You must be new in town if you don't know about Heather’s Haus Florist. This family owned flower and gift shop is "the place” for flower arrangements in Tinley. Their arrangements aren't FTD inspired - they are created by Penny and are her own designs. When it comes to variety, no one has better variety than Heather’s Haus. They stock all sorts of unusual flowers because their reputation brings in the customers. That is one of the benefits of dealing with a family florist - they work with your needs! Whether it’s flowers, vases, picks, or other inserts, you give Penny a general idea of what you want and voila! Let her fairy Godmother hands do the rest. If your needs are something other than flowers, there are simple and unique gifts to chose from or custom designed gift/fruit baskets. I have purchased them all over the past 20 years and have never been disappointed in the quality or to the service! On top of it all, this store has delivery everywhere in the South Suburbs and working man’s hours, open daily until 6:00 Monday - Friday and 3:00 on Saturday.

Heather's Haus all the way! The ladies that work there are great. They have helped me alot this coming from a guy who does not know a flower from a weed! They have helped me pick out many different plants and flowers for gifts and who ever I gave the gifts to loved them!

Classy Flowers is the only reliable place for flowers in all of Tinley Park. We are all so fortunate to have a humble hardworking couple- Dennis & Jo Ann! With their combined experienced, which by the way is unsurpassed, Classy Flowers creates beautiful pieces of art that fit every occasion. I have used this florist many times and have never had any problems, only success. It is in my opinion that this florist is the only way to go. Just look at their online catalogues, come on- they know what they are doing.

Stopped by Classy Flowers at one of the Tinley Park Cruise Nights and felt like I, the customer, was always right! The overall atmosphere of the business is so positive and uplifting it made me feel like I stepped into a friendly neighbors home. Their dedicated staff made buying flowers an easy and painless step for us guys. They made my special someone smile extra large with the bouquet, it was all flowers and not just gobs of Baby's Breath to fill. A GREAT store, on a Great street, in a GREAT town.

I just want to say a few weekends ago I bought those so called "painted" flowers from the farmers market from Heathers Haus... and i do mean a few weekends ago.. 2 weekends ago to be exact. The lady that sold them to me was just truly the sweetest lady I have ever met...she explained how to make the flowers last theres no secret other than to just follow the instructions on the flowers, she said thats all you do and they will last for you... she wasn't kidding...now its funny you say "painted" flowers because Heathers Haus had several to choose from she had not painted bunches wrapped up and ready to go as well as some bright fun mixed "painted" colors... either choice was the right choice because they were all beautiful and to be honest... when i stood there and smelled them you couldnt smell the "paint". I could not be happier that I decided to buy myself a bunch and you can bet your tushy that once these die..if they ever do(mine still look GREAT!) that I will be back in the line to get some more...When i was walking around last saturday i stoped to tell them thank you and to let them know I would be back once I needed more they were so happy to hear the compliments... they really do know what they are doing at the shop....and DID YOU SEE THE SUNFLOWER ARRANGMENTS last weekend! HOLY COW!!! I hope they have those when I come next time. I might get those even if these other ones are still alive! Not only do they have a farmers market regular now..as well as Heathers Haus reg!

Wow is all I can say to Classy Flowers job well done on my daughter's bouquet for her prom. I know the in's and out's of Tinley Park and this place will not disappoint! Her bouquet looked so beautiful for my daughter's special day. All of the girls asked her date where he went to buy the bouquet, and they also asked their boyfriends why they didn't have the same quality! It goes to show you that being in business for decades does count for something. If you want a family run shop, with good prices for quality products, shop at Classy Flowers!

Classy Flowers gets my vote hands down! They truly care about their clients and are willing to work with them. I have gone there for everything from boutonnieres to bouquets and have been amazed with the craftsmanship on each piece. I ordered two centerpieces for my graduation party and was stunned they lasted for three weeks! Yes, you heard me correct- THREE WEEKS! Classy Flowers, Thank You for being in Tinley Park.

Only one I trust and that is Heather's Haus

Heather Haus is the best florist I've ever visited and have had the pleasure to work with! Their flowers always last and are beautiful! They did our wedding and we're still getting compliments on our flowers 5 years later on how memorable they were! Penny is great and gave us great styling advice for our event. I'd recommend them to anyone!
Tami Bellin Kuipers July 20, 2012 at 06:42 PM
We have used Heather's Haus many times in the past and always had beautiful flowers. We have a family wedding next weekend and didn't think of using anyone but Heather's Haus. I am guaranteed that this will be one part of the day that I DON'T have to worry about.
beth July 23, 2012 at 02:59 PM
With out a doubt I vote Heathers Haus!!!! Best place around
Diane July 24, 2012 at 11:40 PM
If you want creative and gorgeous long lasting flowers I recommend Classy Flowers. Jo Ann and Dennis are artists in there own right. They have JoPhielia roses that are to die for! You will never see these beauties anywhere else, and their "secret" formula makes the flowers last for 3 weeks. You won't be sorry! Use Classy Flowers for your occasions where flowers need to be PERFECT!

Never heard of these florist shops. Guess I may have to go East of Sportstation once in a while.
