Amateur Radio Field Day

The Illinois Radio League will be participating in the annual Field Day event for Amateur radio. This event has amateur radio operators to try and contact as many of each other and also see how far they can make a contact with. Last year it was Ireland. We encourage anyone wanting to try amateur radio to come out and try to make a contact using our radios. We will show you how and supply you with a call sign to use for the event. any age is welcome and it is a exciting for all to make there first contact with another state or country. 

This event runs for 24 hours straight and we will be located on the band stage in the New Lenox commons. Boyscouts last year camped out in front of the stage on the lawn and also operated the radios.
