Community Mazda Drive For Good Event

Nov. 26, 2013 - TINLEY PARK, Ill. -- This month, Mazda has launched the Mazda Drive for Good campaign that will go to support charitable organizations. To support the campaign and give back to the community, Community Mazda in Tinley Park, Illinois is holding a food drive. The drive will begin on November 30, 2013 and run until December 21, 2013.


All food collected from the drive will go to the Chicago Food Depository, the non-profit group that helps to feed families and end hunger. They were founded in 1979 and today have 650 food pantries across Cook County, supplying the equivalent of 150,000 meals a day.

Community Mazda is asking community members to bring in only boxed food and non-perishable food stuffs. This includes canned soup, cereal, and macaroni and cheese. The dealership will have collection bins located inside the Community Mazda showroom.

There’s also more people can do to help at Community Mazda, thanks to the Mazda Drive for Good event. Currently ongoing until January 2, 2014, Mazda is pledging to donate its time and finances to select charitable causes. There are two ways of going about this. The easiest way is to simply take a test drive in any of the new models at Community Mazda. These new Mazda models range from sporty sedans like the 2014 Mazda6 to the speedy 2014 Mazda MX-5 Miata roadster coupe. For each test drive, Mazda will donate an hour of their time to a worthy cause.

For anyone who leases or makes a purchase of a new 2013 or 2014 Mazda, Mazda will also donate $100 to a charity. The customer will also be able to decide where the money goes from a list of reputable non-profit organizations like St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
