Dear Parents/Guardians from D146 CMS:
On Monday, November
11th at 8:30 a.m., Central Middle School will hold an
all-school assembly to honor our veterans in observance of Veterans Day.
Central would like to take this opportunity to have our
students invite a veteran to attend the assembly. The veteran might be a parent, grandparent,
relative, neighbor or friend. Please
encourage your child to invite a veteran and have them attend. This would be a wonderful way to bring home
to all of our students the meaning of Veterans Day and what we owe to the
veterans who have served our country.
Parents and Guardians are also welcome to attend.

Once again, we will be creating a photo slide show of
friends and family members who have or are currently serving in our Armed
Forces. If you would like to honor
someone, friend or family member, in this multi-media presentation, please send
your photos electronically to Lisa Allen, lallen@district146.org. Only photos submitted electronically by November
4, 2013 will be accepted. You do not
have to attend the event in order to submit a photo. If you submitted a photo last year, we can
and will use it once again if you would like.

picture to be used again.
