Allied Health Open House coming to SSC's South Holland Campus

SOUTH HOLLAND, IL –South Suburban College will host two upcoming healthcare-related Open Houses for anyone interested in learning more about these select SSC career programs or meeting with college recruiters.  The Open Houses will take place at the Main Campus in South Holland as follows:

The Allied Health Open House will showcase SSC’s wide-range of healthcare programs that can lead to rewarding careers in two years or less.  These programs include Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasound), Echocardiography, Medical Assistant, Medical Records Technology, MRI, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Phlebotomy, Radiologic Technology, and the new Speech Language Pathology Assistant Program.

Nanoscience Technology Open House


Thursday, November 29, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.


Heritage Room, Main Campus, South Holland


The Nanotechnology Program will provide students with entry-level skills to manipulate atoms and molecules at the nanometer scale in an emerging field of study. Graduates will be prepared to work as technicians, manufacturers and production workers in a wide variety of industries utilizing Nano scale technologies.  SSC offers a 67-credit hour Associate of Applied Science Degree track or a 33-hour Nanoscience Certificate.
