Business & Career Institute to offer Hot Topics on the Go in Oak Forest


OAK FOREST, IL–The Business & Career Institute (BCI) of South Suburban College (SSC) will offer another course in their Hot Topics on the Go sequence, geared to provide information for a variety of industry sectors about issues and solve problems associated with business growth.  Experts will present information quickly and clearly followed by question and answer sessions. 


Hot Topics on the Go sessions are free of charge and are located at the University & College Center in Oak Forest.  The upcoming topic on the calendar for January 16th is as follows:

Attend this 90-minute quick information and question/answer session about the Logistic and Supply Chain industry.  There will be a case study and discussion approach on the most current and important topics in the logistics industry right now, including:

  • Inventory Management

  • Labor Management



SSC now offers a logistics and supply chain program.  This innovative hybrid program combines classroom and online modules to provide the most up to date information on logistics and supply chain management.  


About the presenter:  Ron Hounsell has spent 30 years in the supply chain operations management and consulting with concentrations in strategic planning, productivity improvement, technology, purchasing, inventory and project management.  Concurrently, he has taught a variety of courses at several colleges and universities and has co-authored two books on logistics.  Mr. Hounsell holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin and a Master’s Degree from Northwestern University.  He is certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM) by APICS, and is an MSSC Certified Logistics Instructor.
