Second Annual President’s Cup Golf Outing

The Mokena Community Park Foundation to host its 2nd Annual President's Cup Golf Outing on Monday, July 15, 2013 at the Odyssey Country Club, 19110 S. Ridgeland Avenue, Tinley Park, IL. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation.
                11:30 am: Check-in, driving range will be open
                12:30 pm: Scramble shot gun start
                  5:00 pm: 2 hour open bar, dinner, prizes and raffles
$125 per person or $500 per foursome: Includes golf, carts, lunch and dinner
 Ladies, men's and skin divisions. Mulligans available for purchase. Prizes for closest to the pin, longest drive and more.               
The POTCF is a locally based non-profit organization that provides comfort and distraction from painful procedures to children and teens diagnosed with cancer by providing a toy, gift or gift certificate in 44 hospitals nationwide. Nowhere else in the nation does such a program exist. CEO Colleen Kisel founded the organization in 1996 after her then seven-year-old son Martin had been diagnosed with leukemia in 1993. Ms. Kisel discovered that giving her son a toy after each procedure provided a calming distraction from his pain and his new world filled with doctors, nurses, chemotherapy drugs, surgeries and seemingly endless  painful procedures. Martin recently celebrated his 20th anniversary of remission from the disease.

The Second Annual President's Cup Golf Outing will help the Foundation obtain necessary funding to aid children battling cancer throughout Chicagoland and across the nation. Every year, approximately 12,400 children and teens are diagnosed with cancer nationwide-that is one in every 330 children.
