8-Year-Old Asks: How Can I Donate My Hair to Cancer Patients?

Nomei Romero had one question on her mind Thursday afternoon when she walked into Together We Cope's Tinley Park offices:

Could she donate some of her long, jet black locks to cancer patients who have lost their hair because of treatment?

Although the nonprofit help agency couldn't immediately help the Sauk Village 8-year-old, volunteers and employees were able to provide her with the paperwork necessary to donate her hair, as well as a gift card for a free haircut. Nomei also picked up a few school supplies that she was given as tokens of her generosity.

Patch spoke with Nomei, who stopped by Together We Cope with her mom and older sister, about why she wanted to donate her hair to cancer patients. Check out the video to hear what she had to say.

Also, Patch plans to be on hand when Noemi finally gets her locks cut.
