Only $150 separated Stephanie Porche from first place as part of WGN's Salvation Army Bell Ringer Idol contest.

Stephanie Porche, the Salvation Army volunteer who sings and raises money during the holidays at the Tinley Park Sam's Club, came in second place as part of WGN Morning News' Salvation Army Bell Ringer Idol contest.

Only $150 separated her from the winner, fellow bell ringer Sam Arias. Porche received 12 donations, totalling $435. Arias had the same amount of donations, but he earned $585.
