Local Senior Citizen Advocate Deservingly Earns Flowers for Her Generosity

Senior citizen Elaine Wayne receives special flower arrangement from downtown Tinley Park's Classy Flowers.

Elaine Wayne, was anonymously nominated for a good deed bouquet this week. 

She is the volunteer secretary for the organization, Tinley Park Police Seniors And Law Enforcement Together, or SALT. The group meets the first Monday of each month, January through December at the .

As the secretary, Elaine takes the minutes at each meeting and has helped in other ways, too. The group has members who range from their late 50s to their early 90s.

Elaine happily gives rides to those members who have given up their driver’s licenses. She takes them not only to meetings, but doctor’s and miscellaneous appointments. 

It is a pleasure and honor to accept the nomination for Elaine.

Elaine was actually our fourth nominee, our third person will be posted this week.  Our nominee has such a busy schedule that we could not give her flowers last week. Keep an eye out for our blogs, which will feature more exciting news and flower information!
