Love INC Endeavors to Fill In the Gaps

Gap:  an unfilled space or interval; a break in continuity.

What is a gap ministry?

A service to the community where an "unfilled space" is found, or a need is too overwhelming to be met by existing services. LOVE INC wants to "fill in the gaps." 

Love INC of Tinley Park currently has two gap ministries:  Aslan's Wardrobe and the Personal Care Pantry.

Aslan's Wardrobe is in its second year of operation and is hosted by Faith United Presbyterian Church.  Thanks to donations of gently used coats by the members of our participating churches, clients are able to get a winter coat.

The Personal Care Pantry also receives donated items from our churches including toilet paper, soap, shampoo and feminine hygiene products.  Clients are able to curb their grocery bills by receiving a helping hand.

2014 will see the opening of at least two new gaps.  One gap, hosted by Zion Lutheran Church will be feature small household items to families in distress and moving from a shelter into a house or apartment.  The other hosted by Faith Church will be providing linens and bedding for those in need.
