St. Boniface Park Community Meeting Scheduled for June 13 at 7 p.m.

Tinley Park, Illinois: The Tinley Park-Park District is considering purchasing the St. Boniface Church site, at Oak Park Avenue and 163rd Place in Tinley Park.

Since 1982 the Park District has leased the land from St. Boniface Church and maintained a park on the site. If the Park District buys the land it will remain a park, but if the land is purchased by another party it may no longer be a park.

The Park District is interested in hearing from the residents that live in the area around St. Boniface Park on what they would like to see happen with the property. A meeting has been scheduled to receive resident input on Thursday, June 13 at 7:00 p.m. at the Tony Bettenhausen Recreation Center, 8125 W. 171st Street in Tinley Park.
