MOUNT CARMEL HIGH SCHOOL PRESENTS CARAVAN FAMILY DAY SEPTEMBER 15

A free family celebration of prayer, community, and service on Mount Carmel’s campus

Mount Carmel High School invites friends and family to Caravan Family Day on Saturday, September 15, 2012.  Caravan Family Day is a celebration of prayer, community, and service that will consist of home athletic contests for our football and soccer programs, games and activities sponsored by our student council, Mass, a celebration for the 50th reunion class of 1962, food, drinks, and entertainment for the whole family all day long.


The Varsity football game vs. St. Joe’s on Carey Field marks only the second time in history that the Caravan will play a varsity game on the Mount Carmel campus.  Following the game, a Mass for the public with Mount Carmel president
Fr. Tony Mazurkiewicz, O.Carm. ’92 presiding will take place in the Convocation
Center.


Guests of Caravan Family Day are invited to join Mount Carmel staff and students as they “Take Action to End Hunger” by bringing a canned food item to the event.  Non-perishable food items collected at Caravan Family Day will be donated to the Maple/ Morgan Park Food Pantry. Each attendee is asked to contribute one food item for the cause.

Schedule of Events:

9:30 a.m.  Sophomore football at home on Carey Field
11:00 a.m.  Varsity soccer at home on Haggerty Field
11:00 a.m. Studium Olympics for MC Students
1:00 p.m.  Varsity football vs. St. Joe’s at home on Carey Field
3:30 p.m.  Mass in the Cacciatore Athletic Center with Fr. Tony Mazurkiewicz, O. Carm. '92
4:30 p.m.  Food, Music & Entertainment in Champion Way

Admission: Admission to Caravan Family Day, including
the Varsity football game, is FREE! Tickets will be available for purchase of food and beverages.  Attendees are asked to contribute one canned food item which will be collected for the Maple/Morgan Park Food Pantry.


Raffle: Attendees are invited to support tuition assistance by purchasing
a raffle ticket for $10.  Cash prizes of $2500, $1000, and $500 will be
awarded.

Location:   All activities, including the varsity football game, to take place at Mount Carmel High School, 6410 S. Dante Ave., Chicago, IL 60637.
