DR. JULIAN ROGUS STUDENT WINS A FUN RIDE TO SCHOOL

Raffle Drawing Held to Support SHEF

On Monday, November 5, 2012, Emerson Deanching, Jr., a kindergartener at Dr. Julian Rogus Elementary School, arrived at school in a completely unique way…in a Fire Truck!  Emerson was the lucky winner in a raffle drawing of 259 entries.

The raffle was held to support the Summit Hill Education Foundation (SHEF).       The Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for grants given to teachers in Summit Hill School District 161.  Summit Hill District 161 serves the communities of Frankfort, Mokena, and Tinley Park.

A big Thank You to the Frankfort Fire Department for making this raffle possible!
