Crestwood Care Center Announces Full-Time Family Nurse Practitioner

Ingalls Care Center in Crestwood is pleased to announce that Quiana Jackson, BSN, MSN, FNP-BC, is now a full-time family nurse practitioner on staff.

A board-certified FNP with more than seven years of professional advanced practice nursing, Jackson joined the Crestwood center in November on a part-time basis and recently took on the role of full-time practitioner.

She performs a full range of healthcare services for patients, ages two years and up, including preventive care, diagnosing, treating, prescribing medications and ordering tests. She routinely treats patients with acute sinusitis, bronchitis, sprains, strep throat, back pain and more, and performs physicals. She is available to treat patients by appointment as well as walk-ins.

“Patients can call the Center directly or schedule through our online registration service InQuicker,” she said.

Among her many areas of expertise, Jackson is particularly interested in women’s health and counsels patients on wellness and preventive care, breast health, birth control, sexually transmitted diseases and more.

“The services I provide are ideal for busy people who work and may not be able to get in to see their regular physician,” she said.  

Before joining Ingalls in Crestwood, Jackson served as an FNP for Take Care Health Clinics/Walgreen’s for seven years. Prior to that, she worked as a pediatric intensive care nurse at University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital.

Jackson earned a Master’s of Science/Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Rush University in Chicago in 2007 and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Prairie View A & M University in Houston in 1999. She is certified by the American Academy of Family Nurse Practitioners.

Jackson is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honors Society of Nursing, and in the fall of 2002 was voted Nurse of the Season for the University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
