Sign Up for Free Air Pollution Action Alerts

Know the air quality outside before you leave the house for school, work or the park. Sign up to receive free air quality forecasts and air pollution actions alerts via email.

Partners for Clean Air Illinois offer a service that allows residents to sign up for “EnviroFlashes.”  Just like the weather, air quality is also forecasted every day. Subscribers will receive such messages as:

• Air Quality Action Days when there may be elevated levels of air pollution, specifically ozone and air particulate matter;

• A daily air quality index that is assigned a category with a corresponding color.

• Actions to be taken for each color-coded category, especially for those falling in the “sensitive group,” including the elderly, children and people with asthma or lung disease.
