$2,000 Worth of Jewelry Missing From Home: Blotter

Bath and Body Heist

Two women took $250 worth of lotion, gel and cream from Bath and Body Works, 16035 S. Harlem Ave., according to a report. They left in a green Nissan Altima at around 9:46 a.m. No arrests were reported.

MONDAY, APRIL 15

Tools Go Missing

A black-and-green Poulan chainsaw, a red MTD snow thrower and a yellow McCullough jet washer were taken from a backyard shed, according to a report.

The owner, who lives in the 6500 block of West 163rd Street, said the items went missing between 8:30 p.m. April 15 and 7:30 a.m. April 16. A padlock used to secure the shed also was missing.

SUNDAY, APRIL 14

Retail Theft Charge for Tinley Park Man

Lubna Mustafa-Mahmoud, 31, of the 17300 block of Valley Forge in Tinley Park, was charge with retail theft, according to a report. She is accused of taking $38.04 worth of clothing from Kohl’s, 7500 191st St.

FRIDAY, APRIL 5

Liquor Theft From Jewel

Anthony J. Howley, 44, of the 6000 block of Kolmar Avenue in Chicago, was charged with retail theft. He is accused of taking $71.94 worth of liquor from Jewel-Osco, 17117 Harlem Ave.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3

$2,000 In Jewelry Missing

More than $2,000 worth of jewelry was reported stolen from a home in the 17000 block of Circle Drive, according to a report.

The victim said she last saw the jewelry on March 31, before she had family over for dinner. No one else, aside from her boyfriend, had been inside the house since the dinner.

Six gold and silver rings were taken from her jewelry box.
