$25,000 in Machinery Stolen From Sam's Club, Theft at Ulta and More

TUESDAY, APRIL 3

$25,000 in Machinery Stolen From Sam's Club

said that sometime between 9:40 a.m. Jan. 21 and 9 a.m. April 3, someone stole a $25,000 piece of equipment from Sam's Club, 16100 S. Harlem Ave., . The grey, front loader snow bucket was used to plow the business' parking lot.

Theft at Ulta

An employee at Ulta cosmetics, 7350 W. 191st St. in , said that between March 14 and March 17, someone stole a total of $140 from her purse on two separate occasions. The bag was in a locker in the business' break room during the time of the thefts.

The employee said someone first took a $100 bill and then $40 cash. She suspects the culprit to be a fellow employee with whom she shares the locker. That employee quit her job when she was accused of stealing, the report said. said a complaint was forthcoming but no charges had yet been filed as of last week.

MONDAY, MARCH 19

Warrant Arrest

John C. Steiner, 46, of the 15800 block of Terrace Drive in Oak Forest, was arrested around 12:10 p.m. near the intersection of Centennial Drive and Brementowne Road in  on a warrant out of Will County for telephone harassment. Police found Steiner sleeping on a park bench near Bicentennial Park, they said. 

Signs Snagged

Several signs have recently been removed from a homeowners' association property in the 8100 block of 160th Street in . Police said they included wooden and plastic "no parking" and "E&R Towing" signs. One homeowner said he was unhappy when the association put the signs up but that he didn't know where they went. The total loss from the thefts was around $200. The signs were taken between March 16 and March 19, police said.

SATURDAY, MARCH 17

Violating Supervision, Warrants

Stanley A. Czubernat, 40, of the 1500 block of South Wolf Road in Prospect Heights, was arrested around 11:20 a.m. near the intersection of 170th Street and Cherry Creek Avenue in on two warrants—one out of Homewood and one out of Palos Heights—for violating his supervision. His bail was set at a combined $15,000.
