Handgun Pulled During Traffic Incident

A driver called into Tinley Park police to complain about another driver who showed a handgun near the intersection of 159th Street and 84th Avenue, according to a report.

The gun-wielding driver was “all over the roadway” and cut off the caller. When the caller approached the vehicle, the other driver pulled out what was either a 9mm or Beretta handgun.

Diner Breaks Door at Old Country Buffet

A man in his 20s broke a glass door at the Old County Buffet, 16060 S. Harlem Ave., according to a report.

An employee heard a loud noise as the man was leaving the restaurant and, after checking it out, saw the man running into the parking lot, the report stated. The broken door is usually locked and not normally used as an exit, the report continued.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17

Bald Man Steals Rogaine

More than $630 worth of merchandise was stolen from Jewel, 17117 Harlem Ave., according to a report.

Store video footage shows a bald, heavy-set man, who was with a young girl, take nine cans of baby formula, five cartons of Crest White Strips teeth whitening, a few packages of Gillette razors and three bottles of Rogaine hair product.

The suspect placed the items in a tan bag he brought with him and then left without paying, the report stated.
