Blotter: Spending on Diapers.com; Stash of Coke, Ecstasy and More

A residential burglary arrest and a battery at a local gym were also part of the latest reports, which are dated March 20, 22, 23 and 26, and April 2 and 4.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 4

Warrant Arrest

Joseph L. Oiler, 31, of the 15800 block of East 1250 North Road in Momence, was arrested around 10:30 a.m. near the intersection of 183rd Street and 94th Avenue in on a failure-to-appear warrant for driving with a suspended license out of Hazel Crest. He was also charged with driving with a suspended license and operating a vehicle with an expired registration. His bail was set at $5,000.

Residential Burglary

Hani N. Yacoub, 17, of the 2100 block of Lolo Pass in Plainfield, was arrested around 1 p.m. in the 16900 block of South Sayre Avenue in . He was charged with one count of residential burglary. Additional information about the alleged crime was not immediately available April 5.

Retail Theft Warrant

James J. Churchill, 27, of the 17400 block of Center East in Hazel Crest, was arrested around 6:45 p.m. at the on a warrant for retail theft. His bail was set at $10,000.

Spending on Diapers.com

A  woman said that between March 19 and March 26, someone used her bank account to buy about $140 worth of items from Diapers.com.

FRIDAY, MARCH 23

Stash of Ecstasy, Cocaine and Other Pills

Cory E. Schmeske, 25, of the 8700 block of Brown Lane in , was arrested around 1:20 a.m. in the parking lot of Walgreens, 8400 171st St., and charged with possession of a controlled substance. said he had a pill identified as Clonazepam without a prescription. 

Patrick M. Witkus, 23, of the 3300 block of West 112th Place in Chicago, was also taken into custody there. He faces three counts possession of a controlled substance, and one count each of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. said that in the backpack he was carrying, he had six Clonazepam pills, four ecstasy pills, 10 capsules containing cocaine, a stash of marijuana and a "one-hitter." The pair was among a trio officers said were sitting on a curb in the parking lot after business hours. 

THURSDAY, MARCH 22

Prescriptions Bottles Stolen

Sometime between midnight March 14 and 11 p.m. March 22, someone stole medication from a residence in the 16300 block of Brementowne Drive in . The victim said he was out of town at the time of the theft. Missing were one-month prescription bottles of Prazolam, Respiradyne, Clonidine and Trazodone. About half of the pills remained and their combined value was around $150, the report said. 

TUESDAY, MARCH 20

Battery at LA Fitness

The cops were called to LA Fitness, 18400 S. Convention Center Drive in , around 10:10 p.m. for a report of a battery in the gym's locker room. A 23-year-old man who had just finished playing basketball said he got into a fight with another man he could only identify by first name. The suspect shoved the man into the lockers and his head was bleeding, said. Officers weren't able to locate the man. No charges were filed.
