Blotter: 'Pocket Rocket' Stolen, Fisticuffs at Steak 'n Shake

THURSDAY, JULY 12
'Pocket Rocket' Stolen
were called to Autumn Drive in by a woman who said her son's miniature motorcycle, "commonly referred to as a 'pocket rocket,'" was taken from the side of her home. The woman said she last saw the bike July 11 around midnight. It was valued at about $250.
Gazing Ball Disappears
A 60-year-old man living in the 16700 block of Forestview Lane in said that he believed someone stole his $50 yellow gazing ball and its accompanying $25 stand. The lawn ornament was in his flowerbed in front of his home, according to the report. It was last seen on July 11 around 8 p.m.

TUESDAY, JULY 10
iPad, Camera, Pants, Stolen
A man who works out at LA Fitness in told police a 1st-generation iPad valued at $800, a Sony digital camera valued at $500 and a pair of khaki pants with a belt valued at $60 were missing from his gym bag. The man said the items were in a locker, which was secured using a combination lock at the time of the theft.

SUNDAY, JULY 8
Laptop Missing
A woman living in the 8000 block of West Alexandria Drive in Tinley Park reported that someone stole her laptop from her home between June 30 and July 8, while she was on vacation. The woman said her son was home while she was away.
Warrant Arrest
Zena N. Brye, 34, of the 14500 block of South Loomis in Harvey, was arrested in Midlothian on a warrant out of Tinley Park. Her bail was set at $50,000.
FRIDAY, JULY 6
Fisticuffs at Steak 'n Shake
Plates and glasses were shattered in July during a brawl that erupted at Steak 'n Shake after at least two of the men involved had spent several hours at the bar, police said.
No one wanted to sign complaints in the incident, which occurred around 3 a.m., according to the report. The fight was primarily between two men, a 22-year-old and 26-year-old. Others stepped in to break it up, the report said. One man was bloodied in the fight. Police said he had a swollen lip but declined medical attention.
