Burglars Nab Electronics While Family Watches Fireworks

Thieves targeted a local home last week while residents left to watch a Fourth of July fireworks display.

A man called last week to report that while he and his family left to watch local fireworks displays, someone broke into his house and stole video games and computers.

The resident, who lives in the 16700 block of Gaynelle Road in , called police around 10:40 p.m. on the to report the break-in. He said he and his family left the home around 8 p.m. and remembered closing the front door but not locking it, the report said.

Included on the list of missing items were five Call of Duty Xbox games, on Madden Xbox game, two controllers, a Toshiba laptop and an IBM ThinkPad.

There were no signs of forced entry to the home and neighbors weren't home when police stopped by. The case remained under investigation on Friday.
