Burglars Steal Wii Console During Home Break-in

A woman said someone entered her home and stole electronics.

A woman living in the 7800 block of West 171st Street called last week after she noticed a video game console and its controller, which had a nunchuk attached, missing from her home.

She said she believed someone burglarized the place and stole her Wii on July 20 between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., according to the report. Nothing else in the home was missing or disturbed.

Police collected several fingerprints from a glass back door—The resident said it was the only unlocked entrance at the time of the crime.

A neighbor told police she saw someone mowing the lawn at the woman's house around 1:30 p.m. that day. Although the resident does hire people to do the yard work, they were not supposed to be there until July 21.

They also only cut the grass in the front yard, which both police and the victim found peculiar. The burglary remained under investigation Tuesday.
