Concert Tickets: Tallying Summer Citations (Aug. 6)

Keep track with Tinley Park Patch as the drinking tickets and other citations pour in for those at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre. Today's reports are from the Wiz Khalifa on July 30.

Summer is the season that tends to bring out the urge to have some fun while the weather is nice. And that urge can go hand in hand with poor judgment.

One spot in Tinley Park where people like to have fun is checking out a concert at First Midwest Bank Amphitheater. And while the majority of people who attend events are well-behaved (except those rowdy Yo-Yo Ma fans), some can act in an unacceptable manner. This summer, Patch will be keeping tracking of select citations handed out by the Tinley Park Police Department at the venue during concerts. It's something we like to call the Concert Tickets. It's not something you want to pick up at the box office.

WIZ KHALIFA CONCERT (JULY 30)

Honesty: A 19-year-old Posen man was cited for possession of marijuana. Police said they noticed a man holding a water bottle that contained a yellow liquid, according to a report. A cop smelled the liquid and identified it as Red Bull mixed with vodka. The man admitted to being 19 years old. Police patted him down and found a baggie that contained some joints. He was cited for the marijuana but was let go without an underage drinking ticket "due to his honesty about the alcohol."

Fake ID: A 20-year-old Chicago woman was cited for underage drinking, misrepresenting her age, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, according to a report. Police spotted her drinking a can of Corona beer. A cop carded her, and she handed him a driver's license that listed her height at 6-foot, 1-inches tall. The officer estimated that she was about 5-foot, 8-inches tall. He also asked about other pieces of identification she had in her purse. The woman emptied her pockets and turned over a multi-colored glass pipe which contained a burnt residue. While she was under arrest, police found a baggie that contained a green leafy substance suspected to be marijuana. The woman is due on Aug. 23 in Bridgeview court.
