Cops Accuse Man of Cruising Through Tinley With Pot

Police arrested an out-of-towner last week who they said had weed and unidentified pills in his ride.

Police arrested a Country Club Hills man last week after they said they found marijuana and pills in his car during a routine traffic stop.

Cops pulled over a vehicle being driven by Kron Dusean Price, 22, of the 17700 block of Arlington Avenue in Country Club Hills, around 12:45 p.m. Oct. 27 after they noticed that his license plate was expired, the report said. When they walked up to his car in the parking lot of Speedway, 7201 183rd St. in , they spotted pot, they said.

searched the car and discovered unpackaged clumps of the leafy green stuff, they said, as well as four pink tablets that were individually wrapped in plastic bags, according to the report. The pills tested negative for MDMA—commonly known as ecstacy—back at the station and Price claimed they were not his, police said.

They sent them off to the Illinois State Police Crime Lab for further testing and indicated in the report that charges may be pending. Price has so far been charged with driving a vehicle with an expired registration, driving a vehicle without a driver's license on his person and possession of marijuana.

His bail was set at $1,500.
