Cracker Barrel 'Pervert' Served Trespass Warning

A regular at Cracker Barrel in Tinley Park was recently asked to never return to the restaurant, thanks to his propensity to share dirty jokes and comments with the waitresses there, police said.

said they recently issued a trespass warning to a 76-year-old local man who employees at the Cracker Barrel commonly refer to as "pervert."

The man was dining at the restaurant, 18531 North Creek Drive in , between 6:30 p.m. and 7:20 p.m. Aug. 17, the report said. He made an inappropriate joke during that time to a staff member and a manager said it wasn't the first time the man had said something "off color." The joke wasn't listed in the police report report.

A manager confronted the man and told him he was no longer welcome there, to which he reportedly said, "I've been eating here since before you were born and you can't stop me from coming here …" He also told the manager he would return with his friends "who are bikers," police said.

The manager followed the man out of the restaurant and gave his license plate to police.

When they found him in his 169th Street apartment to issue him the no trespassing notice, he said he was wondering what took them so long, according to the report.

A citizen filed a complaint. The police did their job and acted on it. The police did not do anything to instigate this action. Jeez. Pay attention. Just saying.

Ted, do you understand anything about respect? Do you understand anything about the first amendent? People do not have to tolerate someone telling them dirty jokes that contains a word that does still in this day and age offend some women. Do you tell dirty jokes to strangers, that is what was done here? She took exception to it and told her manager. It turns out this guy was warned before about doing this. You really can't see the difference in telling a dirty joke to friends or family versus telling it to a complete stranger. Yes, it would have been a little too much with no being allowed to come back to the restaurant if this was the first instance, but this is not the case. It could have ben the second, third or even more times that he did this, we don't know.
