Crime Map: Reported Thefts in Tinley Park (June 1-12)

The Tinley Park Police Department provides information on recent crimes in the village. Patch has put together a clickable map with a breakdown of theft incidents.

JUNE 4

Copper Wire Theft

A roll of copper wire was reported missing from a job site at Menard's, 6901 W. 159th St., according to a report. It was at a building that is currently under construction and went missing sometime between 5 p.m. June 4 and 9 a.m. June 5. The roll is worth between $500 and $800.

JUNE 6

Skipping the Bill

Two men left Saharas, 7899 159th St., without paying for a $36 bill for a hookah they smoked on June 6, according to a report. The men left in a gray, four-door vehicle.

JUNE 7

Theft in Memorial Park

A black North Face jacket that had a cell phone in the pocket was reported stolen from a picnic table in Memorial Park, 6641 W. 171st St., according to a report. The theft happened at about 4:45 p.m. on June 7. The combined value of the stolen items is estimated at $350.

JUNE 7 & 11

Purse Theft from Walt's

A woman's purse was stolen at about 4:20 p.m. from inside Walt's 16039 Harlem Ave., on June 7, according to a report.

A wallet with $113 cash in it also was stolen from a purse inside Walt's on June 11, according to a report.

JUNE 9

Rental Car Theft

A rented 4-door car was stolen from the parking lot of a the Hilton Garden Inn, 18335 LaGrange Road, on June 9, according to a report.

JUNE 11

Purse Theft

A purse with $700 cash inside was stolen from a shopping cart while inside Burlington Coat Factory, 7061 W. 159th St., on June 11, according to a report.

JUNE 12

Spare Tire Theft

The spare tire on a van parked in a lot at Comfort Inn & Suites, 18400 Spring Creek Dr., was stolen on June 12, according to a report. The tire is valued at $400.
