Crime Reports: Lockers Broken Into at Fitness Center
Tinley Park Police reports, Dec. 22-Jan. 1 • Cashiers were arrested for underringing at Target • Counterfeit $100 bills passed • Burglars steal three TVs and leave message for homeowners.

Lockers broken into at LA Fitness
The locks were cut off of three lockers on Dec. 28 at LA Fitness, 18400 Convention Center Dr. in Tinley Park. One victim reported the theft of $250 in cash, the second victim reported a wallet with $250 cash and credit cards was missing, and the third victim reported nothing missing from his locker.
On Jan. 2, an Air Force Academy cadet home for the holidays reported the theft of $100 from his locker at the fitness center.

On Dec. 16, a woman discovered her wallet had been taken from a locker at the fitness center when she received an alert on her cell phone that someone was trying to make an $1,800 purchase at the Apple store in Orland Square Mall.

Theft ring discovered at Super Target
Three employees were charged with retail theft Dec. 22 after being seen underringing merchandise at the Super Target, 7300 W. 191st St. in Tinley Park, police said.
Store security officers told police cashier Jaye West, 18, of 18166 Kedzie in Hazel Crest, was spotted underringing merchandise for fellow cashiers Christopher Jean, 19, of 24 Wedgewood Road in Matteson, and Leashia Jones, 20, of 6230 Streamwood in Matteson, in separate transactions.

Bogus bills used at Odyssey Fun World
A cashier at Odyssey Fun World discovered two counterfeit $100 bills were used to buy merchandise at the amusement park on Dec. 28.

Burglars make off with TVs
Burglars made off with three televisions including a 56-inch plasma model after breaking into a home in the 8400 block of West Fairfield Lane through a sliding glass door. Also reported missing were two laptops, a printer and a DVD player.
The letters CD and RIP were scrawled on a wall and mirror in the phone, police said.
