Dad Sues Nursing Home, Employee Over Daughter's Sexual Assault

The lawsuit was filed by the father of a mentally disabled teen who was allegedly attacked at the Joliet center in November by a nursing assistant, a Tinley Park resident, according to reports.

The father of a 19-year-old mentally disabled woman who was allegedly sexually assaulted by a Joliet nursing home employee is suing the facility, according to a Sun-Times Media report.

Renato Timola, 46, of the 7600 block of Ridgefield Lane in Tinley Park, was arrested in November and charged with criminal sexual abuse and criminal sexual assault in connection with the alleged attack at Salem Village, 1314 Rowell Ave., in Joliet. Timola has worked there as certified nursing assistant since 2012.

The father's lawsuit, which was filed Dec. 19 in Will County Circuit Court, claims Timola and another nursing assistant conspired with another nursing assistant to gain unsupervised access to the girl, which was against the facility's rules, Sun-Times Media reported.

Timola, Salem Village and the center's owners, Makhlouf Suissa and Shoshana Maryeh, are named in the suit, the report added.
