Disobeying 'Do Not Enter' Sign Leads To DUI: Blotter

Tinley Park police reports, May 8-14 • Theft of supplements from GNC • Rented trailer reported stolen.

Supplement Theft

More than $1,600 worth of supplements were stolen from GNC, 7380 191st St., according to a report. Police said a customer walked out at about 11:06 a.m. with five Chrome P6 Extreme and seven Chrome P6 Extreme Bonus supplements while a store employee was speaking with another customer. The combined value of the products is $1649.88.

The suspect is described as a 6-foot, 2-inch, 220-pound black man with short hair, and was wearing a dark gray sweater, the report stated.

SATURDAY, MAY 11

'Do Not Enter' Leads To DUI

Michael H. Young, 28, of the 7400 block of Tiffany Drive in Orland Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and DUI with a blood-alcohol content greater than 0.08, according to a report.

Police spotted a car at about 2:04 a.m. disobey a “Do Not Enter” sign and strike a curb while backing up in the 17300 block of Oak Park Avenue. The driver, Young, was arrested after he performed field sobriety tests.

While in custody at the Tinley Park Police Department, Young took a breath test for his blood-alcohol content.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 8

Trailer Stolen

A rented, 48-foot, white 1988 Stoughton trailer was reported stolen in the 7700 block of West 185th Street, according to a report.

The renter parked the trailer at about 11 p.m. on May 7 at a truck dock. He returned on May 8 to find it missing.
