Tinley Park Woman Dies After Early Morning Car Crash

Lubna Firdausi, 50, died after a two-vehicle crash at 183rd Street and 80th Avenue. A 33-year-old Orland Hills man is being questioned in the accident.

UPDATED (11:27 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2)

A 50-year-old Tinley Park woman died after she was involved in a two-car accident early Sunday near the intersection of 183rd Street and 80th Avenue, according to Tinley Park Police.

Lubna Firdausi, a driver of one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at 8:03 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, the Chicago Tribune reports.

The second driver, a 33-year-old Orland Hills man, was hospitalized and later released, the police report stated. The man, who was not named in the release, is being questioned by police, although no charges had been filed as of Sunday night, the Tribune reports.

Police responded to the accident at 2:09 a.m. at 183rd Street and 80th Avenue. Firdausi suffered serious injuries from the crash, the police report stated.

The Tinley Park Major Crash Unit is still investigating the crash, the police report continued.
