False Fire Alarm Forces Evacuation of Village Hall

There was not an actual fire inside Tinley Park Village Hall Monday, staff said.

Tinley Park Village Hall was evacuated Monday afternoon, after a fire alarm sounded.

Tinley Park police and fire were called to the scene, 16250 S. Oak Park Ave., around 3:30 p.m. and determined there was no fire, said Interim Village Manager Mike Mertens.

Staff re-entered the building around 3:50 p.m.
