'I'm Going to Kill You': Harassing Caller Targets Tinley Park Woman

A Tinley Park woman has received more than 30 unwanted calls from a female caller, police said.

A 26-year-old Tinley Park woman has been on receiving end of more than 30 creepy phone calls from an unknown caller.

The harassing calls started up about a month ago for the woman, Tinley Park police said. The woman blocked her phone number but the calls kept coming.

A restricted number called her about 30 times at 3 a.m. on July 29. Another 10 calls were made to her cell phone the next morning, police said.

Another call from a restricted number came at about noon on Aug. 20, police said. This time, the Tinley Park woman answered. A young female voice on the other end began laughing. "Shut the [blank] up [blank]," the voice said. "When I see you, I am going to kill you." The Tinley Park woman warned the voice that she was going to call the police.

Three more calls came on Aug. 22 but all the Tinley park woman could hear was heavy breathing on the other end, police said. That's when she decided to call police. The phone rang a fourth time that day from the restricted number while police were talking with the victim. An officer answered and, after hearing the same heavy breathing the woman heard, warned the caller that she could be arrested if the harassment continued.

No arrests were reported but complaints were going to be signed.
