La Salle County Grand Jury Indicts Tinley Park Man

Abdel J. Rahman is being held on a $1 million bond after being charged Tuesday in connection with selling synthetic pot at a Peru tobacco shop he owns, according to reports.

A Tinley Park man was indicted by a La Salle County grand jury Tuesday in connection with selling synthetic marijuana at the Peru tobacco shop he owns, according to the News Tribune in LaSalle.

Abdel J. Rahman, 45, of the 17400 block of Tamar Lane, was charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, both Class 2 felonies, the report stated. If convicted, Rahman could face three to seven years in prison, according to the report.

Rahman is being held on a $1 million bond and will be arraigned Thursday, Sept. 26.
