I, Liar: A mom caught trying to leave an Orland Park store with pilfered eyeliner and other cosmetics tried to beat the rap by blaming someone else — her 12-year-old daughter. She didn't buy the makeup, and cops didn't buy her excuse, charging her with felony theft. Orland Park Patch
Whistler's Bother: Yo ho ho and a bottle o' rum! A tipsy Elmhurst man, displeased with his neighbor's whistling, ordered his neighbor's dog to bite its own master for whistling. When cops arrived, the man confessed that he'd downed a few swallows of rum before the run-in. The dog didn't bite. Elmhurst Patch

Scene from 'The Hangover, Part 4': A man suspected of drunken driving almost drove into a police squad car before he decided he had a better chance of escaping on foot. The Problem Solver: A bicyclist who tried to get an Arlington Heights man to pay for damage to his bike found himself running for his life when the man grabbed a black-powder rifle and began chasing him. Arlington Heights Patch
Doctor Peeper: An opthalmologist is accused of hiding a camera in a Chicago Eye Institute restroom to secretly record women using the toilet. He also put a camera in a locker room at another Eye Institute office. The women were able to identify themselves on the recordings. Lake View Patch

As a woman in Joliet pulled into her driveway, she spotted a neighbor exposing his privates to her. As he tried to run away, a good neighbor caught the bad neighbor and held him until police arrived.
