A Frankfort woman faces drunken driving charges after allegedly backing into her car into a Dodge.
Amalynda M. Lang, 27, of the 8200 block of Brickstone Drive in Frankfort, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08, failing to reduce speed to avoid a crash and improper backing, according to a report.
A bouncer at a downtown Tinley Park bar flagged down an officer to report a car crash at about 3:01 a.m., according to a report. The bar employee told police a black, four-door Infiniti backed into a red Dodge Charger in the 17200 block of Oak Park Avenue.
Police stopped the Infiniti and spoke with Lang, who was driving, the report states. She told police that she "didn't mean to hit that car" and had just come from drinking at a Tinley Park bar. Police said she had bloodshot and watery eyes.
According to the report, Lang was asked to take field sobriety tests. After the tests, she was arrested and taken to the Tinley Park Police Department. While in custody, she took a breath test that resulted in a 0.168 BAC. She allegedly told police she started drinking at 10 p.m. and had three 12-ounce beers and one shot at the bar.
Lang was released after posting bond.
