Pickup Truck Crashes into Tinley Park Home

No one was home at the time of the crash Thursday evening.

No one was home Thursday evening when a pickup truck crashed into a Tinley Park home.

Tony Killelea and his daughter Lauren were attending a Central Middle School eighth-grade celebration, when a driver lost control of his Chevy Silverado, dodged a gas meter, trees—even decorative American flags—and struck the home in the 17700 block of 67th Court.

Killelea said he believes the driver lost consciousness. The man was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

The truck hit the southwest corner of the house, damaging the basement. Killelea and his daughter were back in the house later Thursday night, but were unsure for how long.
