Officers Reportedly Find 7 Bags of Heroin in Woman's Pants

When police pulled over a man for a routine traffic stop, they saw his passenger stuffing drugs into her pants, they said. However, she wasn't charged with possession of a controlled substance.

When police pulled over a driver on Harlem Avenue last week for making a turn without signaling, they found that he wasn't the only one in the car who was breaking the law.

While officers were citing the 22-year-old resident on the evening of March 8 for failing to use a turn signal, they saw his passenger "putting several small plastic bags containing a white powder substance" in her pants, they said.

Police asked the two to get out of the car at which point the woman, Myjken Moore, 23, handed over a couple bags of heroin, they said. She then told them, "I'm sorry. I got nervous," according to the police report.

A drug dog was called to the scene who alerted officers to the area Moore was sitting —the front passenger seat, the report said.

Police said they found a dryer sheet stuffed in the vents which they believed was there to mask the scent of illegal narcotics. They also found a burnt spoon inside Moore's purse, they said.

"I noticed that the spoon contained an off-white colored substance, suspect heroin," according to the report.

The vehicle was towed from the scene around 10 p.m., the report said, and Moore was taken to the . In a written statement, she reportedly told police she'd used the spoon to "cook" heroin that she'd injected the night before.

A total of seven bags of heroin were found in Moore's pants, according to the police report. But she was only charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

"After speaking with the shift supervisor … it was determined that there was not enough residue in the baggies to proceed with a (possession of a controlled substance) charge," the report said.

Moore was released from the station around 1 a.m. She's due in Will County court on April 11.
