Cops spoke with both Murillo and the driver from Palermo's Pizza, 16644 Oak Park Ave. Murillo had tried ordering a pizza but cancelled the order when he realized he didn't have a credit card. The pizza was delivered about an hour after the order was placed at around 9:13 p.m. A heated argument ensued between the two men in front of Murillo's home, the report stated.

Murillo became annoyed when he found out the pizza was not from Aurelio's, according to a Tinley Park police report. He exchanged words with the driver and then followed him out to the car. That's when Murillo is said to have pulled a knife and yelled, "I'm going to kill you."
