Police Arrest Man Who Reportedly Proclaims he can 'Pass Any Field Sobriety Test'

Tinley Park police arrested a man last week who they said was driving while intoxicated.

Police accused a man last week who reportedly told them he could "pass any field sobriety test" of driving under the influence of alcohol.

arrested Anthony P. Jackson, 54, of the 7300 block of Lakeside Drive in around 10:45 p.m. Jan. 11. They said they clocked him driving 59 mph in a 45 mph zone near Oak Park Avenue and Prosperi Drive. He was also crossing over the lane lines, according to police.

Asked if he was drinking, Jackson told police he had a "beer or two" down at Cuzin's.

"Anthony stated, 'I can pass any field sobriety test, I only live two blocks away,'" the report said.  

He reportedly then failed the tests and was taken to the . He made several comments to police implying that they should be spending their time catching the "real bad guys," and thanked them for "costing me a lot of money," the report said.

At the station, he told the cops the bar was featuring a bloody mary special so he tried "one or so," according to the report. At 11:30 p.m., he blew a .167 on the Breathalyzer. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
